This is a indirectly-competitive, dice placement, area control game.
Victory conditions are tied to hidden roles.
Barbarians are massing at the gates of Rome. You’re an opportunistic Roman senator in charge of your own personal Legions.
You can fight the Barbarians in honourable combat and earn their wrath, or secure the provinces and sic the Barbarians on other would-be tyrants, or conspire to burn Rome and rule over what’s left.
You will like this game if:
• You don’t want to attack your friend in a board game but you do want to trip a Barbarian and blame your friend in that game.
• You want a game of strategy where victory conditions can shift in one big moment.
